Updated: July 11, 2022
This is one of our most watched videos and for a good reason.
In this video, Elite expert trainer Collin Warren clears up a very common mistake that a lot of operators make regarding understanding Rabbit, Turtle, and Creep modes on the JLG Boom Lift. This video includes instructions on:
Drive Modes:
- Rabbit
- Rabbit – Hill (High Torque)
- Turtle
- Creep Mode
As well as stop modes:
- Deadman Footswitch
- Joystick Release
- Angle Cutout (Reduces Speed)
Remember
Operators and Supervisors MUST be certified for having completed MEWPs training to ANSI A92.20 Standards.
The standard technically went into effect in June of 2020. It is important that you are trained on the new designs and requirements to meet the A92 suite of standards which include load and terrain sensing and indoor/outdoor restrictions. Organizations should have programs in place to regularly evaluate operators.
